Casework and Counselling

Our programmes strive to help vulnerable families make constructive changes to their lives. These programmes build independence and resilience, and prepare them for future challenges.

Groupwork

Workshops and therapeutic group sessions conducted by professional staff help Casework and Counselling clients develop skills and knowledge. Topics include parenting, budgeting and nutrition.

Community Outreach

Outreach programmes help us assess the needs on the ground. They also aim to educate communities on available resources and increase awareness of our services.

Information and Referral

Members of the public are directed to information relating to social service. We also activate referrals to appropriate services.

Our Programmes

Strengthening Families Programme@Family Service Centre (FAM@FSC)
FAM@FSC aims to support couples and families, and strengthen relationships and marriages. In close collaboration with the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), FAM@FSC offers marriage and divorce support programmes, and services to those facing marital, financial, and parenting issues, or struggling with independence, stability, and resilience.
FreshStart Programme
Montfort Care was commissioned in July 2020 by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) to create the Fresh Start Support Programme (FSSP). The FSSP complements the Fresh Start Unit (FSU) to provide additional support for families under the Fresh Start Housing Scheme (FSH). Our support helps families ensure their continued eligibility to receive housing grants.
KidSTART Programme
KidSTART aims to provide holistic support to children from low-income families by focusing on their needs and wellbeing. We provide them with a better start in life by supporting parents and caregivers in early childhood development, as well as to empower families to nurture closer relationships.
Parenting Programme
Montfort Care is one of 10 Parenting Support Providers appointed by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF). Positive Parenting Program (Triple P), Signposts, and Purposeful Play introduce strategies that help children learn social-emotional regulation skills. Parents learn better ways to develop their child and be equipped with the skills to prevent and manage difficult behaviour.
